Systematic theology, human behavior, artificial intelligence, leadership, public safety, identity, and culture.
I am engaged in advanced doctoral study in systematic theology, currently studying public safety administration, and i hold a degree in psychology. I do not need the schools emphasized. The focus should be on the areas of study and how they connect to my work.

MY BIOGRAPHY
Eric J. Herrera is a researcher, author, pastor, and philosophical thinker whose work challenges conventional ways of understanding the human experience. Through multiple published papers, he has contributed to the emerging conversation surrounding artificial intelligence, mental health, human connection, and the psychological consequences of an increasingly digital world.
Beyond his research, Herrera is a pastor currently completing his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology, bringing questions of faith, meaning, purpose, and human nature into his broader work. His books, available on Amazon, extend these ideas beyond academia, exploring the unseen patterns behind our thoughts, behaviors, habits, relationships, and everyday lives.
Known for looking beyond the obvious, Herrera approaches ordinary human experiences with an uncommon question: What is really happening beneath the surface?

PROFESSIONAL / LEADERSHIP
RESEARCH & HUMAN BEHAVIOR
Eric’s research examines the increasingly blurred line between human psychology and artificial intelligence, particularly AI companionship, emotional attachment, mental health, and the ways technology is changing how we relate to ourselves and one another.
WRITING & IDEAS
From the habits we repeat without thinking to the beliefs that shape our decisions, Eric writes about what exists beneath the surface of everyday life. His books explore behavior, identity, relationships, discipline, purpose, and the unseen patterns that quietly influence who we become.
FAITH & THEOLOGY
As a pastor and doctoral student in Systematic Theology, Eric explores Christianity beyond surface-level answers. His work wrestles with God, human nature, suffering, purpose, doubt, and the search for meaning, bringing ancient theological questions into conversation with modern life.
IS THE END NEAR?
Every generation has believed it might be living near the end. But ours is the first to confront artificial intelligence, engineered biology, global connectivity, and machines beginning to imitate distinctly human behavior. What happens when ancient prophecy meets a future the biblical world could never have imagined?
WHEN TECHNOLOGY & FAITH COLLIDE
Artificial intelligence can now listen, advise, comfort, imitate intimacy, and participate in deeply personal moments. As machines move further into spaces once occupied exclusively by human beings, difficult questions emerge: What makes us human? Where does consciousness end and imitation begin? And what does faith have to say about it?
THE THINGS WE DO WITHOUT THINKING
Much of life happens on autopilot. The same routines. The same reactions. The same fears, relationships, impulses, and patterns, often without asking where they came from. Eric examines the psychology, philosophy, and faith behind ordinary behavior to uncover what may be hiding in plain sight.
